Agnes Blass, born in Chicago, moved to Poland in the 1980s when everybody was trying to travel in the opposite direction. As she adjusted to the shift between two polar opposite cultures that of the US and Poland pre the fall of the Berlin Wall, she experienced what she describes as a "immense inner journey" amid contrasting worlds.
In 2001 she relocated to Switzerland, and is a Zürich-based artist who uses the medium of photography to explore and investigate nature and characters as she brings out their essence through their narratives, their memories, and the relationship with their surroundings.
